BELMAR - Communities along the Jersey Shore are bracing for a nor'easter expected to hit the state Wednesday.

Residents still recovering from Superstorm Sandy are already vulnerable and are not taking any chances with this storm.

The people of Belmar are preparing their homes and businesses by stocking up on sandbags and putting up boards.

Residents of Brick barrier island were busy creating sand dunes with the hopes of keeping storm surges from destroying the area. Mayor Stephen Acropolis says they would not have done this before Sandy, but the superstorm wiped out all of their natural protection.

A voluntary evacuation has been issued for Brick as of now.
