MANASQUAN - People along the Jersey Shore are dealing with the aftermath of heavy snow, gusty winds and the coastal flooding as the first winter storm of the season arrived in New Jersey.
The National Weather Service put out coastal flood warnings ahead of the storm. There was widespread coastal flooding in Cape May and Atlantic counties during Saturday's high tides.
Manasquan and several other shore communities issued voluntary evacuations for low-lying areas.
Barnegat residents were under a mandatory evacuation if they lived in low-lying areas.
