Shoppers hit the stores 1 week before Christmas

EDISON - With one week left until Christmas, many shoppers hit the malls across New Jersey to scoop up deals on presents during "Super Saturday."

"Super Saturday" is the last Saturday before Christmas, but with Christmas Eve falling on a Saturday next week, many stores will not be staying open late, making today the big last-minute shopping day.

At the Menlo Mall in Edison, shoppers were out in droves today, taking advantage of some discounts.

Many businesses say they are staying open late, hoping the lower prices and extra hours will mean a boost in sales.
