TRENTON - A shooting and car crash left several people dead and wounded in Trenton last night.

Police responded to a report of shots fired on East State Street and Olden Avenue at 11:14 p.m. They also received a separate report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle which overturned on East State Street.

Upon arrival, police found 52-year-old Barry Church on the front steps of a home with a gunshot wound to the underarm area. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 23-year-old male driver of the overturned Chevrolet Blazer was found dead with a gunshot wound to the neck. His vehicle struck multiple parked cars and two female pedestrians before overturning. One 23-year-old woman from Philadelphia is in critical condition and is being treated at Capital Health. A 22-year-old from Trenton is listed as stable.

While police were investigating the scene, an 18-year-old man from Trenton reported to Capital Health with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police have not said if there is any connection to the East State Street shooting.

This morning, a person arrived at Capital Health with wounds to the stomach area. That person died at 8:45 a.m. Police again have not said if his wounds were connected to the East State Street shooting.
