Sherwood Road in Sayreville flooded after water main breaks
SAYREVILLE - Crews from Mycon LLC are working through the night to fix a water main break that's flooded a road in Sayreville.
Early Sunday afternoon, water began flowing from underneath Sherwood Road. Residents were out using shovels to clear out storm drains clogged with leaves, to make way for the extra water.
Crews say the water main broke at the corner of Sherwood Road and Surrey Lane, where water is still flooding and pooling. Crews ripping up the road to fix the break say they're relieved it's above freezing tonight.
