TRENTON - (AP) - The Rev. Al Sharpton and national unionleaders have scheduled events around the state to draw attention tothe hardships facing New Jersey's working families.

Sharpton will be joined Tuesday by American Federation ofTeachers President Randi Weingarten and Lee Saunders, internationalsecretary- treasurer of the American Federation of State, Countyand Municipal Employees.

The three will lead a morning rally to protest the closing of apsychiatric facility in Vineland. They'll participate in a paneldiscussion with state lawmakers at noon, then lead an evening rallyin Newark.

Labor leaders say budget cuts are putting a squeeze on themiddle-class and working families.

Gov. Chris Christie's proposed budget calls for saving $1.6million a year by shutting the Vineland Developmental Center. The governor also wants to overhaul teacher tenure.
