MAYS LANDING - A registered sex offender accused of sexually assaulting and impregnating a New Jersey girl is now facing more charges.

Police say 47-year-old Joseph Anthony Caracciolo faces charges of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

According to prosecutors, Caracciolo sexually assaulted his 12-year-old victim at her father's home in southern New Jersey and crossed state lines to take her to the Poconos in Pennsylvania for sex. He was arrested in New York City in August.

If convicted, Caracciolo faces 25 years in prison.
