Service restored to NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line

EDISON - Riders faced heavy delays throughout the morning along New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor after signal problems forced the line to shut down.

NJ Transit resumed service between Trenton and the Jersey Avenue station in New Brunswick at 10:50 a.m.

A downed tree in Hamilton caused the signal issues around 5:30 a.m., according to Amtrak officials.

NJ Transit and Suburban buses cross-honored rail passes.
