EDISON - Americans across the nation today remembered the victims of Sept. 11, 2001 on the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.

This morning, many gathered at the September 11 Memorial and Museum in Lower Manhattan, where the names of those who died were read aloud.

Vice President Joe Biden spoke at a memorial ceremony in Shanksville, Penn. where United Flight 93 crashed.

President Barack Obama and the first lady placed a wreath at the Pentagon where American Flight 77 crashed.
