SOUTH ORANGE - They may not be professionals, but a group of 100 "senior" tennis players held their own on the courts at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club's National Grass Court Championships Monday.

Players between the ages of 75 and 85 participated in the tournament, all for the love of the game.

"People don't want to give it up because it is so important to them and they want to keep playing," according to player Roger Kling, 79.

There are only 300 grass courts in the United States. Ten of them at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club.

The tournament continues through Sunday.
