Second suspect in Seton Hall U. shooting returned to NJ

EAST ORANGE - A second suspect in the fatal Seton Hall University shooting waived his right to an extradition hearing today and is heading back to New Jersey to face murder charges.

Investigators say Marcus Bascus provided a gun to Nicholas Welch, who opened fire at an off-campus party last weekend.

Authorities say they tracked Bascus to a friend's apartment in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where the 19-year-old from East Orange was hiding in the bathroom.

Seton Hall University sophomore Jessica Moore, 19, was among those shot at the party. She died from a wound to the head. A funeral service for her is being held in Petersburg, Va., tomorrow.
