Seaside Heights educator Marsha Dionisio named ‘Teacher of the Year’ by People magazine

A fourth-grade Seaside Heights teacher has been recognized by People magazine as a “Teacher of the Year” winner.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS - A fourth-grade Seaside Heights teacher has been recognized by People magazine as a “Teacher of the Year” winner.

Marsha Dionisio, who teaches at Hugh J. Boyd Jr. Elementary School, was recognized for her efforts after Superstorm Sandy devastated the school and surrounding town.

Dionisio told News 12 New Jersey today that she entered the contest to tell her story of how she and her students survived the storm and continued to learn through the recovery process.
