SEASIDE HEIGHTS - New Jersey residents are breathing a sigh of relief after a coastal storm didn't pack as much of a punch as anticipated.

Beach erosion and flooding were on the minds of many across the Shore.  In Seaside Heights and Seaside Park, crews working on the demolition of the boardwalk were able to continue working on the project through the storm.

As the wind continued to blow in Seaside Heights, workers wet down dirt and debris to keep it from flying away.

There hasn't been much reported damage from the storm. The rain was not as heavy or as frequent as expected.

As long as Mother Nature cooperates, the hope is that the boardwalk will be open again by the end of the year.
