SEASIDE PARK - Two days after the devastating fire that leveled four blocks of Seaside Park, New Jersey residents are not about to give up on the Shore.

Despite the hardships brought about by the blaze, business owners and residents are heartened to see the town go ahead with its planned centennial celebration. Organizers say canceling it was not an option.

Residents say the positive vibes given off by the celebration show that New Jersey is strong and will continue to overcome any challenges they are faced with.

The rebuilding of the boardwalk will be an arduous endeavor, but a necessity because the area is vital to the state's economic health.
