HOBOKEN - Family, friends and local authorities are intensifying their search for a 27-year-old man missing since early Sunday morning.

Andrew Jarzyk had a few drinks at the West Five Supper Club Saturday night and then decided to go for a run at around 2 a.m. He never returned.

His brother Stephen Jarzyk was out with his wife and friends stapling missing persons posters to every utility pole they could find.

"It is out of his nature," Stephen Jarzyk says, "This is why it's very concerning for us."

Stephen's wife Karyn Jarzyk says Andrew was training for a marathon.

"They said he had a couple of drinks," says Karyn Jarzyk. "He did text his girlfriend. They said his texts were coherent, they didn't sound like somebody who was inebriated."

Police were in boats searching the shallows of Pier A Park along the Hoboken waterfront for Jarzyk on Monday.  A state police chopper was in the air and had patrols on the ground.

Police say he was last seen wearing a black Under Armour cap, neon green T-shirt, spandex pants and ear buds.

A surveillance camera caught sight of Jarzyk running at the waterfront at around 2 a.m. It was the last time he was seen.
