EDISON - More winter weather is headed to New Jersey this week and local businesses are replenishing their depleted stocks of salt and ice melt.

A week ago, Tri-State Pavement Products in Edison was nearly out of salt. They've since restocked with seven truckloads of salt delivered this weekend from Minnesota.

Bryan Palmer, the store's manager, says the store had to pay almost $7,000 per truck to have it shipped over. He's hoping it'll be worth it, as colleges and businesses have already reserved salt and ice melt ahead of another potential winter storm. Palmer predicts the store will be nearly sold out again.

The store owners hope the mild weather was short-lived and that having the truckloads of salt shipped in was worth it.
