METUCHEN - A teacher at a well-known New Jersey Catholic high school has pleaded not guilty to a child pornography charge.

Investigators say that Brother John Spalding, a history teacher at Saint Joseph’s High School in Metuchen, kept child pornography on a school computer.

The images were discovered last June after investigators received a tip. Charges were filed after the computer was searched.

The 74-year-old teacher reportedly posted his $75,000 bail and was released. He will go to a home that he has in Rhode Island.
