Rutherford native among Arizona shooting victims

RUTHERFORD - A Rutherford native is among six people killed Saturday during a shooting spree in Arizona.

Family members say Phyllis Schneck divided her time between New Jersey and Tucson. Her son, Eric Schneck, says he planned to visit her next week, but now has to plan her funeral.

News 12 New Jersey spoke with Schneck, who says Phyllis was a great mom and was always doing wonderful things for the community. He says she remained an active member of churches and women's clubs in both states.

Phyllis is survived by a husband of 56 years, three children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
