NEW BRUNSWICK - The man who provided ESPN a controversial video of men's basketball practice at Rutgers is suing the university for unlawful termination.

Eric Murdock, former Rutgers director of player personnel, held a press conference Friday to talk about the lawsuit. Murdock's attorney, Barry Kozyra, told reporters his client has come under fire for trying to do the right thing for the Rutgers athletes.

During his years at Rutgers, Murdock said players approached him about the treatment they were subjected to during practices held by former coach Mike Rice. Murdock says he was fired when he tried to address the issues with administration.

Rice, university president Robert Barchi and former athletic director Tim Pernetti are all named in the lawsuit.
