Rutgers University has teamed up with volunteer group AmeriCorps to help residents in two counties wipe out the Asian Tiger mosquito.The organizations say they are

TRENTON - Rutgers University has teamed up with volunteer group AmeriCorps to help residents in two counties wipe out the Asian Tiger mosquito.

The organizations say they are going door-to-door in Mercer and Monmouth counties teaching homeowners how to avoid the mosquitoes.

The Rutgers mosquito control program is funded through the USDA and, if successful, could be expanded nationwide.
