NEW BRUNSWICK - Rutgers students and professors have set up tents in Voorhees Mall on the New Brunswick campus for an event called Tent State.

It's the 11th year for the weeklong protest, which focuses on a different cause each year. This year's focus is the rising costs of in-state tuition.

Organizers of the event hold workshops, lectures and rallies to promote the cause during the day and host live music from local musicians each night.

Tent State was founded in 2003 in response to cuts in higher education funding.
