CRANFORD - Rutgers senior Pamela Schmidt was set to graduate this May. According to her LinkedIn profile, Schmidt was earning a double major in labor relations and psychology.

Schmidt's body was discovered in the basement of a home on Greaves Street in Cranford at the home of her accused killer.

The accused killer, William Parisio, is a 22-year-old Rutgers student. He was arrested on Monday. Parisio is being held on $400,000 bail. He is expected to make his first court appearance Friday.

According to the Union County prosecutor, Schmidt died of traumatic injuries.
