PISCATAWAY - Rutgers University officials shelled out a large sum for one of MTV's "Jersey Shore" actors to speak at their school.

The school paid Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi $32,000 for two appearances, which were covered by students' activities fee. "Snooki" cost the university $2,000 more than it took to pay author Toni Morrison to speak at its commencement. Tickets to her question-and-answer sessions at the Livingston Student Center were sold out.

As a parting word to students she said, "Study hard, but party harder."
