ENGLISHTOWN - Nearly 10,000 people descended upon Raceway Park in Englishtown Saturday to participate in a race that was akin to an adult jungle gym.

The Rugged Maniac Obstacle Race is a 3.1-mile course filled with 25 man-made obstacles.

Participants face challenges such as crawling through mud under barb wire, climbing over a steep barricade and bouncing on trampolines to propel themselves to the next podium. News 12 spoke with participants who say the race is more about helping each other get to the next level than trying to win.
