Roof collapses reported on Spring and Market streets in Morristown

Police and firefighters were faced with two roof collapses in Morristown Thursday. (2/20/14)

MORRISTOWN - Police and firefighters were faced with two roof collapses in Morristown Thursday.   

The roof of a vacant two-story building on Market Street collapsed just before 10:30 a.m.     

Then the collapse of part of the roof on the rear of a building on Spring Street was reported at around 11 a.m.

The Spring Street building was searched for possible occupants when footprints were observed leading up to the structure, but no one was hurt in either incident.
