Roof collapses near PATH Station in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY - Part of the roof of the office building at One Exchange Place near the PATH Station in Jersey City collapsed today. The building had to be evacuated and dozens of people fled the structure. No one was injured in the collapse. PATH train service was disrupted, but soon resumed normal service.

Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman says the collapse is not weather related.

The building has been shut down until engineers can get inside, assess the damage, and make sure it is safe.
