PATERSON - A Paterson father was busted for allegedly selling crack with his 5-year-old son in tow.

Police say 25-year-old Rodney Gonzalez was arrested at a busy intersection Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses say it happened on the northwest corner of 16th Avenue and Carroll Street alongside a bodega.

Police charged Gonzalez with possession of crack and cocaine with the intention of selling it and endangering the welfare of his son.

Witnesses say the little boy started crying as he watched his father being arrested.

Paterson police turned the child over to his mother and notified officials at the Division of Youth and Family Services.
