Rochelle Park woman gets probation for harassment

ROCHELLE PARK - A judge sentenced an 85-year-old partially blind and deaf Rochelle Park woman to a year of probation and fined her $200 for harassing her neighbors.

The mayor of Rochelle Park once called Susanna Reinhardt "toxic" for calling police 35 times in three years and town officials an average of three to five times a week.

The harassment claims stemmed from an incident when the elderly woman showed up on a neighbor's porch late at night demanding he trim his shrubs.

When News 12 New Jersey spoke with Reinhardt last year, she said she would continue complaining until she gets "good and ready to stop," or a judge throws her in jail.

The judge also asked Reinhardt to submit to a mental health evaluation.
