Robert Terry, the man who forced Point Pleasant school lockdown, dies

POINT PLEASANT - The armed man who forced police to lockdown schools in Point Pleasant Beach earlier this week has died.

Police say Robert Terry succumbed to his self-inflicted injuries last night.

Terry fled from a domestic incident in Brick on Wednesday then climbed a roof in downtown Point Pleasant Beach and shot himself in the head. Schools and several nearby businesses were placed on lockdown.
