HASBROUCK HEIGHTS - A man that police believe robbed five different businesses at gunpoint in a matter of hours was caught on tape in at least one of them.

A Rite Aid in Hasbrouck Heights and a Sunoco station in Elmwood Park were robbed Saturday.

On Sunday, police say the same man struck a CVS in Garfield.

Later that day, the suspect confronted employees at the Pizza Zone in Lodi. The masked man can be seen on video banging on a counter and waving a gun. The owner says he was only there for a few minutes and left empty-handed. "Told him get out of here," says Zaher Abdaljawwad. "He said, 'Give me the money, or I'll shoot you.' I didn't even move."

Police think the man then headed a few minutes away to a mini-mart in Hasbrouck Heights.

Investigators describe the man as white or Hispanic, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. Hasbrouck Heights police believe the man was driving a dark-colored four-door Ford Taurus, with a model year between 2000 and 2007.

No one was hurt during the robberies, although several employees say they were shaken up.

Police are examining other surveillance video and pictures for more clues on the suspect, who they believe lives or has lived in the area.
