SEA BRIGHT - The road to recovery took a step forward for residents in Sea Bright.

Ocean Avenue, also known as Route 36, reopened at 7 a.m. There will no longer be checkpoints for people that have to get in and out of the town.

Homes and properties in Sea Bright were heavily damaged during Sandy, which hit the region more than two weeks ago.
