EDISON - A retired teacher who lives in Edison is hoping that teaching supplies collected over her long career will be used this back-to-school season.

Emily Nunzio was special education teacher for more than 30 years, and collected books and other teaching supplies along the way. Now she's ready to give them away.

"I'd like to see someone who could really use them and who's low on funds have them," Nunzio says. "Hopefully, they'll have as much fun as I did with them and the kids will enjoy them as well as the teachers."

Nunzio has a bad back and is looking for someone to help her carry heavy books and load them into a van or truck.

The retired teacher says that with so many schools and their teachers losing supplies after Superstorm Sandy, there's a need this year for back-to-school items.
