NEPTUNE - Neptune and other towns across New Jersey were looking for redemption today after being caught off-guard during the Christmas weekend blizzard, and many residents said they were happier with the response. News 12 New Jersey went back today to the Ocean Grove area of Neptune, where residents were stuck for days in the last storm.

Neptune Township Department of Public Works Director Wayne Bode told News 12 New Jersey on Monday that he promised a better response than during the last blizzard. Neptune residents admitted today that he came through with the promise.

DPW workers have been dumping snow that they've trucked from around the town into large piles. Residents say they are just hoping that the piles disappear before the next winter storm hits.
