NEWARK - At least five homes were evacuated tonight after a fast-moving, four-alarm fire broke out at 850 Newark Ave. in Elizabeth.

Witnesses say the fire broke out on the first floor of the home at around 7 p.m., spreading rapidly through the inside. Others say the fire spread to the side of the home, causing burn damage to the home next door.

Witnesses say no one was hurt in the fire.
