Resident escapes large fire in South River

At least one person was forced to escape after a fire broke out at a home in South River.

SOUTH RIVER - At least one person was forced to escape after a fire broke out at a home in South River.

The fire started around 3:30 p.m. at a home on Main Street near Gordon Street.

Dozens of firefighters from several neighboring towns responded to help South River firefighters fight the blaze.

There were no reported injuries from the fire.

The cause is under investigation.
