WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Officials in Bergen County are offering a reward in the hit-and-run crash that injured an officer Saturday morning.

According to a report on NJ.com, Washington Township's police union is offering $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of the driver of a black SUV that hit officer Heather Castranova and fled the scene. She has since been released from a hospital.

Authorities say the incident happened at the intersection of Washington and Fern streets at around 4 a.m.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is urged to call police.
