TRENTON - According to The Star-Ledger of Newark, New Jersey's parole board has denied early release to a former funeral director who pleaded guilty to his role in a ring that illegally harvested body parts for resale.

The board called Stephen Finley's actions an "abomination" and his expressions of remorse "superficial."

The 48-year-old was sentenced to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty in 2009 to desecrating human remains.

Finley's prison time was decreased because of good behavior and he isdue to be released in June.
