Report: Jersey City shooting may be a result of a bad business deal

JERSEY CITY - A shooting in the Jersey City Heights section of Jersey City early this morning, near the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Courthouse Place may have been the result of a soured business deal.

Police say a man was shot in the head, and according to reports, the victim had recently filed some type of complaint against someone in connection with a business dispute.

The victim survived and told police he'd been confronted by three men, including one who told him "you don't have to go to court." The gunman then opened fire.

Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call them at 201-547-JAIL.
