EDISON - According to the National Association of Realtors, existing home prices in Central Jersey declined during the second quarter, but at a slower pace than they did a year ago.

The report showed that the median price of an existing single-family home in an area that included Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex and Somerset counties was at $328,600, down from $346,300.

Sales in New Jersey declined 23.9 percent from the second quarter last year, despite mortgage rates dipping to record lows.
