Repairs to Morristown steeple continue

MORRISTOWN - The $100,000 renovation project on the steeple of the Morristown United Methodist church resumed today without incident.

Last Thursday, two workers got trapped in a lift more than 120 feet in the air. News 12 New Jersey cameras and Chopper 12 captured the high-angle rescue after a boom was brought in.

The accompanying photo is of a hand-written sign that was placed on the steeple of the church that reads "Thank you Morristown."

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
