LONG BRANCH - New Jersey Rep. Frank Pallone is calling on sports organizations to come up with rules of play that will reduce concussions in athletes.

Pallone held a news conference with athletic officials from around New Jersey who say that research indicates that concussions in children can be especially devastating.

“Concussions for younger people, and I'm not just talking about college athletes or even high school athletes,  but even younger, is a very different situation than for adults,” Pallone says.

The congressman will hold a congressional hearing on the issue in Washington.
