EDISON - Investigators confirm that partial remains that washed up on a Rockaway beach in July of 2002 are those of missing Bogota woman Patricia Viola.

Viola disappeared on Feb. 13, 2001. "Patricia's Law", which was enacted to protect the families of missing persons, is named after her. Viola's husband has waged a years-long campaign in an effort to find his late wife.

A left foot bone along with a shoe and sock were located by a beachgoer in 2002 but were never positively identified until now.
