Remaining boil water advisories lifted in Monmouth Co.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP - The last four remaining boil water advisories have been lifted in Monmouth County.Thousands of residents in 22 municipalities had been under the boil water advisory, which was imposed after the break occurred Friday afternoon at New Jersey American Water Co.'s treatment plant at the Swimming River Reservoir in Middletown Township.

Aberdeen, Highlands, Holmdel and Middletown were the last communities to have their advisories lifted.

A ban on outdoor water usage is in effect for all of Monmouth County, as the county wants to ensure water pressure is sufficient should there be a fire.

The cause of the break remains under investigation.
