EDISON - Dry and windy conditions Thursday are prime for wildfires to quickly grow out of control across the Garden State.

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag fire warning until 5 p.m. for much of New Jersey.

Warm temperatures combined with low humidity levels and breezy conditions could cause any fires to quickly flare up and spread.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Justin Godynick says temperatures should reach the mid-60s in most parts of the state with low humidity and some gusty winds.
