HARRISON - The New York Red Bulls soccer team says it will pay fans who don't curse during games.

Fans at the games have been known to have potty mouths, especially the fans near the goal posts.

The team says it will pay each of the three fan clubs $2,000 if they can go at least four games without performing a curse-filled chant.

"It's always a good idea," says Mark Edge, owner of the Soccer Post. "We see in youth soccer now kids replicating what the pros are doing."

Concerns about kids and families in the stands, as well as television networks and Red Bulls sponsors, prompted the team to come up with a solution to the profanity.
