RED BANK - Residents of a Red Bank neighborhood are petitioning to make their street one-way in an effort to reduce traffic.
They say commercial trucks zip up and down Garfield Place coming off Broad Street and they want it to stop.
"We have enough problems with traffic as it is - people cutting through and speeding down here to get around the corner," says Wendy Scott. "So, I'm thrilled they're going for a petition to make it a one-way."
Residents are concerned that a proposed Walgreens at the corner of Garfield Place and Broad Street will make matters worse.
They're also suggesting reducing the speed limit on their road to 25 mph. The mayor says the changes are possible.
