Ravi juror talks to News 12 New Jersey

NORTH BRUNSWICK - A juror from the Dharun Ravi trial spoke to News 12 New Jersey about the former Rutger student's case.

Kashad Leverett says the judge went too easy on Ravi and admits he's disappointed in the sentencing.

"Honestly, I think it was a little too on the lenient side," he said. "I'm entitled to my own opinion, and I thought two to three years would have been fine."

Ravi surrendered yesterday and was locked up in the Middlesex County jail.

With good behavior, he should be released in 20 days.
