RANDOLPH - Residents of a Randolph apartment complex were told to stay inside their homes as animal control officers contained a mother bear and two cubs.

Police were called to the Center Grove Apartments off of Quaker Church Road Monday morning on a report of a bear in a tree. The animals moved around the complex for several hours.

Authorities brought in nets and tranquilizer guns to remove the bears from the area and are in the process of moving them to a safer location.
