MORRISTOWN - The rain may have kept some New Jerseyans from the beach, but it didn't keep them from enjoying a day off.

Visitors to the Morristown Green told News 12 New Jersey they were making the most of the weather.

"I'm going to my job, we're having a cookout on the inside, said Sidney McRae.

Tim Hall had different plans. "We're playing chess at the Hyatt Hotel," he said. "This is the championship of New Jersey."

Rain or shine, it was a well-deserved day off.
