EAST RUTHERFORD - Figures show train ridership to National Football League games at the New Meadowlands Stadium is up 50 percent this year.

The Jets have 70 percent more fans riding the rails than in 2009. The boost in numbers can also be attributed to two "Monday Night Football" games this season.

Giants fans are making about 26 percent more trips to the new stadium.

NJ Transit officials say the railroad has made some operational changes in order to improve flow.

AP wire services contributed to this report.
